Alan Arnold

On Friday, February 4, 2011 of Rockville, MD passed away peacefully at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, surrounded by his family. Born June 20, 1932 in Lonaconing, MD, Al enlisted in the Marine Corps, and then spent a long and rewarding career with the State Department and CIA, serving in Okinawa, Egypt, The Netherlands and California prior to returning to VA. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Arnold; son, Tom Arnold and wife, Gladys of Warren, NJ; daughter, Linda Stewart and Son-in-law, John of Damascus, MD, and six grandchildren, Dempsey, Cody, and Lindsey Stewart of Damascus, MD, Casey, Alexa and Brian Arnold of Warren, NJ. Al will be cremated . A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Maxwell Greenfield officiating.Family and friends will be received from 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM.  Inurnment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park.
