A. Catherine Durst, 79 of Frederick, died Monday, October 13, 2025 at her residence. Born on April 20, 1946 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell Durst and Alma (Garlitz) Durst.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeffrey Kight and a niece, Michelle Kight.
Catherine was a graduate of Valley High School and she retired from Nuclear Regulatory Systems. She attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Frederick.
She is survived by her two sisters, Dottie Kight of Hancock and Janice Durst of Moscow; nephews, Rusty Kight and wife Laura of Frederick and Bryan Kight of Hancock; six great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
