Hugh Gordon Cook, 66, of Cemetery Road, Midland died August 19, 2010 at his residence. Born June 10, 1944 in Lonaconing he was the son of the late Hugh Wilson Cook and Marcene (Feller) Cook.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a  member of the Elks Club.  He worked as a lineman for the telephone co.
He is survived by his son, John Gordon Cook and wife Kristen of Grafton, WI; two sisters, Betty Ann Clise of Midland and Marsha Blanco of Midland; one brother, John Cook of Oakland and several nieces and nephews, Julie Ann, Dale, Richard, Victor, Janice, Jeff, Melanie and Janet.
A memorial service will be held at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. (, Midland on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Harry Burchell officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the
ASPCA at PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929 or the Human Society of the US at Dept MEMIT9, 2100 L St. N.W., Washington, D.C. 20037.

Marsha, John, John and Families,

Sorry that I was not able to attend the memorial service for Gordy, I feel so truly sorry for your loss. I'll always treasure the good times we shared together, I know he was having a rough time the last several years, and pray that he is resting peacefully now in a kinder place. I hope that your fond memories of Gordy will give you all some comfort at such a difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all,
